Strange Occurrences Scene 

EXT – Scarlett walking to college 

Scarlett walks past someone and looks to their face, they seem to say something but their mouth does not move. She walks on a few paces then stops and turns around, confused. She looks ahead and carries on. 

INT – Scarlett walking to lesson in college corridor 

Scarlett walks up to her classroom and waits outside, people around her are talking to each other and it seems quite loud. Their voices grow louder and louder until she can hear nothing but silence and a slight ringing sound. She looks around to see people still talking to each other, their mouths moving, tapping feet etc. She begins to panic. She fiddles with her ear but still no noise. She becomes petrified. She looks to the boy in her class, Arthur, who has earphones in and is standing, tranquil, a few metres down the corridor. Slowly, the music coming from his earphones grows louder and louder but the people talking can still not be heard. The music becomes so loud that she runs to him to stop it. 

SCARLETT (shouting): CAN YOU TURN THAT DOWN PLEASE? IT'S REALLY LOUD. 

People around look at her, confused. Arthur removes his earphones and the music stops. Scarlett is completely baffled. 

ARTHUR: Hey Scarlett. Are you ok? 

SCARLETT: The music, it was... 

She notices people looking at her. 

SCARLETT: Your music was... 

ARTHUR: Oh crap, could you hear it? My mate always has a go at me or havin' it too loud. 

SCARLETT: No, no its... Sorry. 

She walks off and Arthur looks after her, curious, he half smiles.
