The Third Eye: Final Scene Draft

The Third Eye 

Final Scene 

EXT – Populated area at a college, students walking around at a busy lunch hour. 

Mid-shot of main character (Scarlett) sat at a bench as she looks around nervously then steadies her gaze as she spots a threat. Reverse shot of antagonist (Josh) as he and his friends stand laughing, closer shot reveals them shouting something unheard at an innocent passer-by. Close-up shot of Scarlett as she becomes frustrated and angered, close-up on her fist as it clenches. She notices people looking towards them but not taking any action, then lowering her head to glare at him. 

Suddenly, Josh's friends begin to push him around aggressively and he bounces between them helpless, cut to Scarlett still focused on him, then back to Josh who moves around untouched by his friends who stand and watch him, baffled. Josh is again pushed around as he shouts things such as 'stop,' and 'get off,' helplessly, and people look towards him puzzle and disturbed before another shot reveals he is not being touched at all. Cuts become much faster as the camera moves between on-lookers, Josh and Scarlett until a climax in which he falls backwards to the floor, damaging his head. The camera rests awkwardly for a moment on his body, zoom out of Scarlett's realisation. 

She looks around frantically as people rush over and crowd around his body, the voices becoming louder and louder in Scarlett's head until she hears a teachers thought that realises he must be dead. Her eyes open wide. The voices grow louder and louder and louder. She pants heavily. She screams and the crowd turns towards her. She runs. She stops and looks at her reflection.
